"Lovely Stay-Lovely Staff"

Stayed here for 2 nights, then travelled to Halong Bay then back again for another night. A lovely hotel and escape from the busy city. The Hotel and amenities are excellent and the rooms we stayed in were very comfortable. Most impressive was, like other hotels in Vietnam, the staff. Very friendly, always smiling and helpful and most speak good English. Special mentions to staff in the lobby, especially Lan Anh and Thuy Nguyen. One disappointment was there was no wi fi in rooms and the fact that we were given a smoking room, as you have to request a non-smoking room.

Stayed here on business. The hotel is what you would expect from this chain. Large room plenty of facilities both in and out of the room. The hotel employs friendly staff who all speak English and will always try and assist. The food was of a very high standard with choices ranging friom western to traditional vietnamise. There is also a restaurant on the same site offering a variety of steaks called Hemisphere's Steak & Seafood Grill. It is not in the city centre but with taxi fares in Hanoi it was extremely cheap to travel to both places of work and places to visit.Well worth a stay. Pool area was well worth relaxing by when the temp hit 42. The staff did not seem to offer drinks. If they had their takings would have soared. There is a bar area which is ideal for meeting people.

Have just returned from Vietnam and stayed 5 nights at the Sheraton. This hotel is a class above the Sheraton group I have used in Europe and the west could definately learn a thing or two from the east. Reception glorious as are all communal areas and fixtures and fittings. Beds ultra comfortable and the room is spacious, spotless and sooooo comfortable! Ate at the buffet most nights because worn out from meetings (humidity is exhausting) and there was a reasonable choice - more importantly for me the staff were perfectly happy to walk me through every dish in order to 'weed out' any prawn disasters (I am massively allergic and just a touch would mean epi pen if not hospital etc) and they were really kind. The swimming pool was great although there could have been a bar nearby. The massages were amongst the best I have had in the world - worth every penny and cheaper than one might expect. So the reasons for the four stars? The Sheraton must stop pretending when it comes to wifi that it is some struggling little mom and pop operation that has to claw back every possible overhead in order to survive! It isn't true and just ends up annoying the bejeebus out of me... so much so that I am rapidly heading towards a parting of the ways with this chain that is good in almost every other respect...

arrived in Hanoi very large city,thing that struck us was the polluted air it was awful anyway got transfer to our hotel took about 40 mins..It was our Savior after what was an amazing experience travelling across the city.Checking went really smoothly, the reception was very friendly our room was not quit ready we were told to relax with a drink then the receptionist asked us if we would like an offer of an upgrade,including room with a view over the lakes,free cocktails from 6 am to 8 am and a free food buffet in two different lounges one was a VIP lounge.price $ 40 each we were there for 4 nights.It was the best $80 bargain you could have had.Cocktails to die for food variety was splendid service was brill The room marvelous slippers and dressing gowns bathroom facility's. Walking distance to restaurants and shops taxis reasonable but the hotel supplied a shuttle bus to various parts of the city for free.It was our Savior.

Very nice hotel, lots of amenities both inside and close by. The décor is a little tired and the hotel a little far away from the centre of Hanoi but it’s a very quiet location as on a peninsula so you get a good nights sleep and its only a short walk to cafe's, shops etc. The rooms are huge, good quality furnishings and great air conditioning. It also has a nice sized pool and a tennis court but it’s only for beginners as lots of the surface is peeling so would be very frustrating to play on. My girlfriends main criticism of the hotel was that the bathroom didn’t have a working socket for their hair dryer and the only one we could find to work with it was in the main bedroom nowhere near a mirror so wasn’t much use at all. We've just come back for another night and the hair dryer socket near the mirror works fine this time so crisis averted.
