We were very happy to choose this hotel because it is a best service and room was very comfortable...We liked the location in the centre HaNoi, all restaurants and shopping malls are near, the breakfast was amazing. I had a wonderfull time staying at Luxor Hotel... Last year I have been stay in Luxor hotel for 5 days and everything are perfect. Young staffs, friendly, helpful...always willing to help when ever I ask for. And this time I come back with one of my colleagues for business, booked directly with hotel and get best offer from them. Still good and value for money. Welcome to the Luxor in Hanoi where you shall be greeted by a lot of friendly and very helpful staff. Where shall we start? The room: Ours was windlowless which has benefits and drawbacks; There's no natural light during the day but it's cooler, quieter and, if you need a mid afternoon nap, very dark when all the lights are out. The double bed was two singles pushed together but was comfortable except for the odd occasion when I found myself in the crack (this doesn't happen often as the beds don't slip too much). The bathroom has a shower in a bath, toilet and bowl and is of sufficient size. You will also receive lots of complimentary toiletries including shampoo, toothbrush with paste, soap, cotton buds, shower cap and sewing kit! Talking of complimentaties, in the room you get free bottled water and fruit. There is also a fairly cheap minibar if you wish to stock up on fluids (although avoid the wine; it's very expensive). On to breakfast which is described as an American style buffet breakfast; it's not! It is, however, well stocked and full of choice: Eggs (fried, scrambled, omlette), bacon, sausage, ham, variety of breads, cheese, vietnamese foods, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juices, tea, and the wonderful vietnamese coffee. Clearly it's good for vegetarians as my girlfriend will confirm. This is all accompanied by lots of staff who have little to do so will try to help you with anything, and a bizarre choice of music which sounds like neu continental lounge jazz (?). A couple of other things to note: the hotel is slightly out on a limb, buried deep within the old quarter; it's only a short walk to Hoan Kiem lake but, in the heat, this can be quite a challenge. Also there is free internet access in the lobby. Overall, a pleasant place to stay with few downsides. Close

The Luxor hotel was our Hanoi base for our Vietnam holiday. We found the hotel to be well run and the staff were pleasant and accommodating to all of our requests. The rooms were large and the bathrooms were clean. Across the three nights we stayed in rooms that were at the front of the hotel and also the rear. The rear is more quiet but the second floor has double glazing so outside noise is no problem. We would choose a room on the third floor as we enjoy the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter from our private balcony. We would have no hesitation to stay again at the Luxor and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to travellers who are looking for a good quality 3 star hotel. Close
